Double appearance at College Further Education Awards
The success and achievements of Warrington and Vale Royal Colleges inspirational students will be celebrated at the College’s Annual Further Education Awards on the 13th of June and we’re proud to say two of our team have been asked to attend the event.
Firstly, our apprentice Jack has been nominated for the ‘Apprentice of the year award’ which is a great result after all of Jack’s hard work and learning in his first year with the company. His assessor put him forward for his efforts and great attitude as well as going above and beyond, often operating outside of his day to day role and even bringing on a new client in one instance. He was also recognised during National Apprentice week in March as ‘Apprentice of the day’ and featured in a blog on the college’s website.
When asked about his thoughts on the award, Jack said “It’s been a great first year with Today Team, being put forward for the award is something I’m really proud of and I’m looking forward to the awards night”
Secondly, our Managing Director Jamie has been asked to attend the event as the guest speaker. Jamie attended the college during his rugby playing days to do an IT course and has since gone on to build Today Team into one of the leading courier businesses in the North West.
Nicola Meredith, the Director of Marketing and Admissions at the college said “I asked the team for suggestions for this year’s speaker and Jamie was put forward, his background and the energy and buzz that come for the staff at Today Team make him an ideal speaker”
Jamie has been asked to talk about his life since leaving the college 20 years ago, his learning experiences since then and any advice he can offer the students as they take their next steps in their careers.
Let’s hope the night goes well for all involved and our fingers are crossed for you Jack!
